Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 contains 2 playable factions, Soviets and Allies which both previously appeared in Command and Conquer: Red Alert. The single player campaign is structured in an alternate-ending mode as opposed to a progressive story mode. Red Alert 2 proved to be a success. Like all other Command and Conquer real-time strategy games, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 contains two separate campaigns. After the attempted conquest of Europe depicted in Command and Conquer: Red Alert, the Soviet Union is in utter ruin. In Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge, the story starts off assuming that the Allies were victorious in Red Alert 2. The plot is based around Yuri, the former head of the Soviet Psychic Corps
Red Alert 2 received mostly positive reviews, Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 is the best 2D real-time strategy game since Starcraft. The Red Alert 2 soundtrack was composed by long-time Command and Conquer. Red Alert 2 was created by a different group of developers than the original Command and Conquer series.
The core gameplay for Yuri's Revenge is very similar to that of its predecessor, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2. The objective of the Yuri's Revenge is to gather resources while training an army to defend the player's base and attack the player's enemies.
Yuri's Revenge has received mostly positive reviews.On September 15 2015 EA released limited time free digital copy of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge on EA's Origin platform as an "on the house" program.
